It is top of the line and one of the finest helmets out there. The X-Eleven was put through wind tunnel tests and race condition tests to optimize airflow and ventilation. Shoei, through those tests, placed an Aero edge spoiler on the rear of the helmet to reduce drag and lift, for maximum comfort while riding. Shoei used high performance fiber materials as well as very elastic organic fibers to create the shell for the X-Eleven, so the helmet is super lightweight, reducing neck fatigue when riding. Shoei's top of the line performance helmet, the Shoei X-Eleven, is a study in safety design, ventilation and aerodynamic engineering. Extensive wind tunnel and race condition testing was used to form and create the aerodynamic shape of the Shoei X-11, thus allowing for major strides in overall motion performance and advanced aerodynamics. Specifically placed onto the rear of the Shoei X-11 is the Aero Edge Spoiler, which not only improves aerodynamic properties by reducing drag and lift coefficients, reducing rider fatigue and increasing performance, it also has an air exhaust function, making it an integral component of the helmet's ventilation system. The Shoei X-Eleven ventilation system was designed exclusively for performance under real and intensive riding conditions; ventilation parts are molded and strategically located to create the optimal effect. This along with Shoei's development philosophy and diligence for comfort and safety has helped produce the Shoei X-11's near perfect ventilation system. High performance fiber materials were combined with extremely elastic organic fibers to create a shell structure that is ultra lightweight, rigid and resilient, and a two-piece EPS impact-absorbing liner channels air to strategically located positions throughout the interior, allowing for warm air to be effectively drawn out through the exhaust vent system. Each component of the inner liner is ergonomically deigned to offer the ultimate fit and comfort: this design eliminates excess liner movement while riding, which increases the overall performance and safety of the Shoei X-Eleven helmet. Located in the chin bar area of the Shoei X-11, the lower air intake provides two functions: one as a shield defroster, the other as a direct air intake for the ventilation system. Similarly, the forehead lower air intake and forehead upper "Air Scoop II" combine to make the Dual Air Charging System; both vents work together to maximize flow-through ventilations. Additional air outlet holes are precisely positioned to allow warm air inside the Shoei X-Eleven to be exhausted through the force of negative air pressure, plus the helmet is equipped with an air outlet vent at the lower rear neck area to allow for effective air exhaust.
